Instructors

Drivers Scotland is owned and managed by a Grade 6 driving instructor and an NLP Master Practitioner.

To be a driving instructor with Drivers Scotland, a Grade 5 or more is required.

This ‘stamp of approval’ by the DSA (those who set the standards for the driving test) is outlined in the table below.

Grade                   Percentage (in the UK)

Grade 6             6.01% – excellent. 6% of instructors achieve this grade, considered an accolade within the industry.

Grade 5             32.75% – good. These instructors are more dedicated and have reached a higher level.

Grade 4             51.76% – adequate. Just above the substandard level. Most driving instructors in the UK are grade 4.

This means that all our driving instructors have achieved the higher standards in their profession.

Why use an ADI?

Nine out of ten learners who passed the driving test on their first attempt were taught by an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor).
